Jerusalem - The Hymn Video
The unofficial 'anthem' of England from the poem written by William Blake. A tribute to the generations that have gone before us to preserve that 'green and pleasant land' for 'England & St. George!'

thus god save? the queen is anthem of England
regardless of its ...
regardless of its religious content what the uploader was pointing? toward was the fact that this poem was adapted to a hym then adopted by us (the english) as our national anthem (although never made official) as the same way that the other countries of the union have their own athems i.e flower of scotland with the anthem for the u.k being god save the queen, and it now formyself represents everything great about our country and should be officially name dthe anthem of England.

I studied this ...
I studied this piece and from old version libraries? I read that it was illegal to play in England (like a lot of other songs) and William Blake probably didn't write it because it's origin is before the times of England.I also heard there was some b***hin goin down about Emerson Lake & Palmer's recording it in the early 1970's and Monty Python using it in sketches (probably why they used in in the sketches anyway)
Maybe? come the ...
Maybe? come the vote in 2014 it might be easier to persuade people that this is the real english anthem. As united kingdoms as suppossed to a united kingdom (remember the monarchy is not being voted on in Scotland) maybe God Save the Queen can just be the anthem of the monarch, as intended. Also the fact that we stole GStQ from the germans (spec. Prussians) in the first place - in united defiance of Napoleon - and just gave english words to it surely makes jerusalem more english anyways.

This royal throne ...
This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,--
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm,? this England.
